BEFC STUDENT MINISTRIES

(6th-12th Grade)

Your student won’t want to miss this welcoming and life-changing community!

Each week we have fun and learn from God’s Word.

Students get to be part of a small group based on grade and gender.

Every small group has caring, consistent adult leaders who encourage the students as we all follow Jesus together!

WE WANT EACH STUDENT TO:

Belong here ❤️
Believe in Jesus ✝️
Be transformed by Jesus 🔥

WE HELP EACH STUDENT GROW IN THEIR FAITH:

BY SPENDING TIME WITH GOD

If we want to grow spiritually, we need to spend

time growing in relationship with God through

personal times of prayer, reading Scripture,

reflection, and worship.

BY SPENDING TIME WITH OTHERS

If we want to grow spiritually, we need to be

engaged in healthy community and godly

relationships with others — with people who

share our beliefs, as well as with people

who don’t.

BY USING YOUR GIFTS

If we want to grow spiritually, we need to

understand how God uniquely made us and

then use those unique qualities to love God, love

others, and impact the world around us.

BY SHARING YOUR STORY

If we want to grow spiritually, we need to

make faith a regular, everyday, go-to topic of

conversation as we learn to connect our stories

with God’s story and then share our stories with

others.

NOT OKAY: A 4-Week Series from the Gospels on Stress & Anxiety

    SERIES OVERVIEW:

Take a deep breath. Count to ten. Unclench your jaw. Close your eyes. (Or don't, since you're trying to read). You've probably learned a trick or two like this to help you feel with feelings of stress, worry, or overwhelm. Unfortunately, there are a lot of reasons to feel stressed on most days. So between school, family, relationships, and questions about our future, what can we do about everything that's causing us stress? During Jesus’ ministry, he spent a lot of time with people during some really stressful moments.

In this four-week series from the Gospels, we'll see how, when we’re not okay, Jesus offers hope. We’ll discover that when people reject us, Jesus never will. We’ll see that when it’s not easy to do what’s right, it’s still worth it. And we’ll be reminded that when you feel worried, Jesus can be trusted.
